[First of all, I already apologize for any wrong word.]
I started reading Vampirates in 2008, when I won two books as gift. And I fell in love at the first time I saw the books at the bookstore, so my friends gave it to me. The best gifts I could ever gain, for sure.
After reading Vampirates, the other books didn’t call my attention. Of course, there is many of amazing histories, really good series, but nothing compared to Vampirates for me. Since I was a kid I love fantasy series, like Harry Potter. And Vampirates came to my life when I had 15 years. So, I can say that is my favorite teenager serie.
So, since 2008, I have this huge love for Justin Somper’s books. When a new book arrives at the bookstore, I read the previous again, to remember all the details and the richness of the history. The writing is light, you really sink in the pages. And just can’t stop reading. [I remember I read the 3rd book in one day!!].
I wainted almost two years until Empire of Night arrive in Brazil. And when I saw it at the same bookstore, I truly almost cried. Of happiness, of excitement, everything! And now I’m reading Black Heart for the second time! By the way, when I finished reading it for the first time, I sent Justin Somper a tweet, and he replied me!
What I can say about Vampirates serie? It’s amazing! Perfect! Makes you dream in reality. And you get addicted to it!
I wrote one book too, but it’s not published [yet]. It’s called Princess Pirate, and I must say that Vampirates gave me strength to write.
I don’t even know if Justin Somper will read this simple text I wrote. But I made this to let everybody knows how much I LOVE Vampirates. I wish I could meet Grace, Connor, Darcy, Lorcan, the Vampirate Captain, Mosh Zu, Cheng Li, Molucco Wrathe… But I’m really afraid of Sidorio!
Well, I guess I said it all. Justin Somper, thank you very much for changing my life with Vampirates. Hope to see more of your books really soon! And please, come to Brazil!
